I bought this screen because of the price and good reviews. I am very pleased with my purchase. The only problem I had is with the documentation. It’s pretty minimal however the company has been responsive when I had questions. If you want a projection screen I would not hesitate recommending this product and company.

Pretty impressive
This went into a room with 2 story windows on the back wall and side wall. It is placed 17′ from an ivory egg shell painted wall that it projects on producing a 153″ picture. It is not ceiling mounted but set atop my audio equipment rack at the back of the room. In the day, as you would expect (there are no blinds or curtains on the second stories windows…yet) the picture is not that bright but certainly watchable. But that is the fault of my room. This replaced a 53″ Hitachi HD rear projection tv that produced the same result. But in the dark, this is amazing. I have it connected via HDMI to a HTPC. We are very pleased with the picture as are our guests. We run it on the economy mode, which is preferred for bulb life. I would recommend this projector for the picture quality alone, but the price compared to others is outstanding. I purchased from Amazon early December for under 700 dlrs.

Excellent projector for its price class
I’ve owned the PLV-Z60 for 7 months (100+ hours of operation) now and find it to be a very good projector for smaller screens. I have a 72″ screen and find the IQ to be very good. Note: If you want a screen of 90″ or bigger then get a 1080P projector. Carlton Bale has an excellent web site that discussing this resolution/screen-size issue.

My unit has a slightly noisy fan even when using Cinema mode ……………. hence the 4 star rating. It certainly isn’t silent like other reviewers have stated. I’ll probably run this projector for another year or two before switching to a 1080P projector.

Great product for the price
Ordered this from Amazon.com. Connected it to my PS3 Slim. The picture quality is crisp and perfect. This projector is very light which allows multiple options for mounting, ceiling/wall etc. Hardly creates any noise, would recommend it to others in a heartbeat. All in all, great product for the price.

Great starter unit for home HD use-Sony VPL-ES2
I bought this unit not really knowing what to expect.
The first thing I did was to buy a 95″screen(Da-lite) next a DVD player(Samsung) that doubles the lines to 1080 and then a HDTV tuner(LG). This little unit is fantastic for watching PBS Nature programs in HD and it does well with movies too. I had to darken the window light in order to get optimal effect. The sound comes from a set of Altec Lansing 5.1 computer speakers w/ sub woofer.
I have installed and set-up projection systems as part of my job and I think this system does a great job,as I have it. I bought a HD Camcorder (Sony HDR-HC1) and it looks very pro on this system!

Final Note: Finally a hobbiest can now capture,edit,project video,and audio in a truly professional manner. I’ve played with video since the early 1970’s, starting with the Sony Portapak, and now I’ve realized a dream, started so many years ago.

Awesome product for the price!
This is the second time to buy an Epson EX70 projector. First time I purchased it for my church, and I bought it again for myself. It supports 1280×768 / 1280×800 wide screen which is mostly used in the laptop these days, and also it is a very good screen ratio for watching movies. I personally like to watch the movie with projector at home; that’s why I bought EX70. I searched over 20 models from each company, and EX70 was the best above all at this price ($600~$700) since I don’t want 1024×768 / 800×600 resolution. I need at least 1280×800.
If you want more than 1280×800, that’s a different story. The price will go up to $1000 or more. In my opinion, if you want to use it at home, 1280×800 is absolutely enough. EX70 also has a 1.2x Zoom function, so even though you have a very limited length to shoot projectors, you’ll get a big screen. Moreover, this is not a LED/LCD TV. This is a projector. There’s not much difference between 1080p projectors and 720p projectors in details if you’re not a professional.
In addition, it supports HDMI 720p, and USB display which let you be able to play multimedia files without computer.
All in all, I still think that my choice was the best, and never regret.

Everything I expected and so easy
I am not an expert but I was set on buying the HD70 based on all the rave reviews and then read that Optoma had superseded it with the HD65 (1600 lumens) and the HD71 (2400 lumens) and the HD70 was nolonger in production. I went for the HD65 as I was after a great home theatre projector at an affordable price (and the HD71 wasn’t as easily availble yet). I have not been disappointed and can’t tell the difference with the high priced Sony and Infocus units I use for work. All the features of the HD70 (including the near silent fan) and almost twice the lumens for a couple of hundred bucks extra and the unit is surprisingly small and light. Setting it up was a doddle and soon realised that any image quality problems were associated with the DVD quality rather than the projector capabilty. With this neat unit I am now tempted to move to HDMI cabling (if I can find a half decent HDMI multizone DVD player) and a proper screen. Currently I run the video leads through the projector and the sound leads through my surround sound system. Getting the extra lumens helps for day use at kids parties, but the HD71 maybe even more worthwhile if you can afford it. Why wouldn’t you get the latest model with the speed this technology sector is changing?

I purchased this projector a week ago for around $400. I can’t believe what a deal the projector is. I use it for home entertainment and it works great. I did a lot of research before buying the Vivitek D825MS and I decided to give it a try based on price, lumens, and the 3 year warranty. I have it hooked up to my satellite and computer speakers. I have also used the vga cable to hook up the projector to my laptop. Everything works well so far. I encourage anyone else that has this projector to write a review, because I believe this is the best deal going right now. Don’t let the price fool you.

Pretty cool little gadget
This is really an impressive little gadget. Quite easy to use, just plug it in to charge, turn it on and attach a device. I attached my iPhone and watched videos through iTunes and YouTube quite easily. On a wall, on a ceiling. There really needs to be very little ambient lighting though. But when it’s dark, really a pretty sharp picture for the size of the thing and its resolution. And I was especially impressed by the sound given the tiny size of the speaker.

My only complaint is a lack of documentation. The box came with a “quick start guide” which told you very little beyond how to charge it and a couple of other notes and one “sample” configuration. That’s it, and there doesn’t seem to be any more documentation online. But given how relatively easy to use it is, this is a minor quibble.
