Do I Still Need A Converter Box Or Special Cable Connection To Get Local Channels On An Lcd Hdtv?

We just bought a phillips lcd hdtv. We had dish sattlelight but no longer have it. What connections do we need to get basic channels?

  2. You need a uhf antenna. and then you will need to scan for channels on your tv. thoes converter boxes dont do hd only sd.
