I Have A Playstation 3, Samsung Hdtv & Samsung Surround System. I Want To Connect These Up For Best Results..?

So far, I’ve connected the PS3 to the TV via HDMI and the TV sound to the Surround system by Optical lead. Video is outputted to the Surround system via the yellow AV lead. However, when I watch TV, or play the console, I’m finding that the video is faster than the audio and speech appears to be out of synch.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to how I might be able to improve this? I would have thought that the optical cable would make up for any sound lag in that it would allow the audio signal to travel faster…?
I’d like, if possible, to keep the PS3 connected to the TV via HDMI to make the best of the High Def picture… it’s just the sound that’s the problem!
Can anyone help?

  1. Connect PS3 directly into Surround vis Optical cable – this will take care of lag on with PS3.
If you have a cable/satellite box, connect it directoy to surround with whichever digital connection is available.
This will take care of the problem.
