If Lcd Hdtv Has Only 1 Hdmi Port That Is In Use For Cable, how Do I Hook Up Component That Needs A Second Hdmi?

my lcd hdtv has only one hdmi input port which is in use for the digital cable, how do I hook up a Blue Ray player that requires a hdmi cable since the only hdmi port on the tv is in use?

  1. You have to buy a HDMI switch that will allow you to hook up more than 1 item. I’ve seen upto expanding to 12. I would stick to about a 3 port switch. They can be bought online pretty cheap. I use one for my TV box and PS3 and it works perfect

  2. Well the EASIEST way is to connect the Lesser-used device to the COMPONENT INPUT jacks on the back of your TV set….
It’s still an HD INPUT delivering HD to your HDTV…..
It’s just an analog signal instead of a digital signal….
    The second choice is……http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/HDMI-…
But it certainly doesn’t come cheap…..

  3. Use component wires (red blue and green video with the red and white audio) for the Cable box and use the HDMI for the blu ray player (or vise versa).
If your TV can play in 1080P use the HDMI for the Blu Ray. If your TV only goes to 1080i or 780p then it really won’t matter much.

  4. u can probably buy like a double thingo for it that plugs into ur hdmi cable part and has two hdmi inport thingos on it
