I’m trying to decide if whether i should get a 32 inch HDTV to use as a computer monitor or just buy a 24 inch LCD computer monitor. Which would be better for gaming with first person shooter type games. Also I would use it to play xbox360 and ps3. Which monitor would I get the best resolution out of?
the native resolution for the HDTV is 1366 by 768 but it isn’t an option from the control panel. I want the best resolution possible. any thoughts??
I have been using my Samsung 32″ LCD HDTV as my computer monitor. Would it be better for me to purchase a smaller Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD Computer Monitor? I mean, would the graphics be better or anything?

i am currently using my custom computer with a geforce fx5200 on my 32 in hdtv…..however i only have 2 resolutionss…800×600 and 1024x w/e …im using s-video to run it (would i be better off with a vga cord?) and its kinda blurry from a distance…is there a way to get a higher resolution and make the pic clearer?
I was debating on myself wheather or not to buy a 32” samsung lcd hdtv or a 26” incher. Its the same tv except one is smaller than the other. I really wanted the 32”, but i realized after measuring that it would not fit even if i took off the stand, so i went for the 26′. Both have a native fixed resolution of 720p( common in most lcd tvs) I was wondering that if by going smaller on the screen size would decrease the picture quality of tv as oppose to a bigger tv like a 32′. In other words does a 32′ tv lhave better picture quality than a 26′? Does 720p look better on bigger screens? Also i mostly gonna use the tv for playing games, and using it as a pc monitor. And how would 1080i look a 26′ opposed a 32′. Anything will be very helpful.
i have an olevia lcd hdtv with hdmi, component, dvi, and vga inputs. my computer only has a vga output. do i just use vga to vga? or would convering it help? what about the sound? stereo mini jack??
I have Compaq Presario V6000 and Samsung LN-S4695 LCD HDTV. I connected my PC to TV using D-Sub cable, and then I tried to view my PC through TV. Problem is my TV doesn’t accept the connection (for some reason), and my TV displays “Not Supported Mode”. I tried in various options by using FN key and F4 on keyboard. Please help me with this!
I am trying to use an s video cord to connect my tv and my laptop together
The tv is a sanyo lcd hdtv and the laptop is an HP. Can anyone tell me the steps to use my tv as a monitor? My computer isn’t even recognizing the tv. I am also using windows 7 ultimate.
Hiya All, I am connecting my PC (HDCP compliant ATI 2900XT 1024mb DVI Output) to my Toshiba 42Z3030D HDTV via the HDMI3 Input (on the side of the TV) using a DVI to HDMI lead. I’m not getting any display even though the PC see’s the TV and even calls it a Toshiba and automatically sets the resolution to 1920×1080P.
I’ve connected them via the analogue VGA port (to DVI) and the display is there so I know the Graphics card is OK so does the HDMI3 input need something else to help it run?
