PROS: I bought 2 of these monitors right after Thanksgiving. I also bought a Samsung 933HD+ at the same time (this is the 19″ companion HDTV product from Samsung). I really like these monitors. Colors are vibrant, couldn’t find any dead pixels on either specimen, setup was trivially easy under Windows 7 (*LOVE* Windows 7, by the way!), and the much-maligned stand issues appear to have been fixed by Samsung. All 3 of my monitors use the same stand: a screw-in base that attaches to the monitor with 3 dimples that fit into 3 recesses. A 6-year-old could put this thing together. I’m connected to my monitor via a DVI cable. Haven’t tried the analog D-SUB connection as I use that for outputting to the 933HD+. Overall, this is an awesome monitor at a great price. When used as a PC monitor, I think the 21.5″ size is perfect. Anything larger is almost too big, especially at 16:9.

CONS: Wish this monitor had an HDMI input, but this wasn’t a deal-breaker for me as I always intended to use this strictly as a computer monitor. My biggest gripe has to do with the Ultra-Mega shiney black finish. The finish is so polished that it reflects everything. Right now, I can see the reflection from all the Christmas lights in my house, and frankly I find this somewhat annoying. A matte-black finish would have been MUCH, MUCH better. Also, this things shows off fingerprints and dust like there’s no tomorrow. Another minor annoyance is the bright blue LED just below the Samsung logo. What is the deal with everyone using BLUE,BLUE,BLUE LED’s on everything? Why? Also, when the monitor sleeps, the LED flashes, and this is very annoying. At least allow end-users to turn off such “features” through a menu or something. As noted, the buttons on the side of the monitor are impossible to read. Thankfully, you typically set these once, then forget about ‘em.
