Christmas Gift for my Eyes
I use my computer all day and decided to give my eyes a gift…a bigger display. I was going to get the Samsung 2343BWX, but it does not have integrated speakers and desk space is limited. The Viewsonic VX2433wm is a 24″ display with 1080P resolution. The picture on this device is very nice and crisp. I use it primarily for email, web, and software development. I have also watched some movies just to test the picture and sound. The integrated speakers are good for monitor speakers; they do not have the usual “tin can” sound of most monitor speakers.
The appearance of this monitor is also very nice. The bezel and stand are a nice gloss black and helps frame the picture well. The stand tilts, but there is no height adjustment. The height is fine so this is not a problem.
I like the Viewsonic over other displays I looked at like Acer, Gateway and HP. I did not give this 5 stars because the Samsung has more resolution and a better looking picture. If you do not want integrated speakers, that is my choice. However, if you want a very good display WITH speakers and a very reasonable price you cannot go wrong with this Viewsonic.
